Thank you, this is great! I started out a few months ago with flower photography using a borrowed canon and olympus. There are some really valuable things here I didn’t know about!

And people legitimately complain about dishonesty in picturing flowers and gardens.

I'm married to a garden photographer so I do know how unreal it all can be!

I know. It’s a real shame that ‘photoshopped’ images are so prevalent. AI is terrifying! Frustrating also that any genuine image of beauty is questioned by those who can’t or won’t appreciate the skill. Clive Nicholls inspired me to pick up a camera 22 years ago with an exhibition at Kew. Seen a lot of changes in that time.

I remember Clive’s excitement when he started digital. Then we debated it all. Then we all started playing with images.
