A delightful read and a beautiful garden, one can only dream of such perfection! Great tip about watering the hostas in the morning. I have a Hosta and fern table flourishing in it’s forth year, it’s cool and shaded right by the back door, the hostas are in old tin baths and zinc pots which I think the slugs don’t like climbing, the hardy geraniums have crept underneath, it’s an utter delight from the kitchen window!

I’ll look forward to your next instalment 🤩

Thank you very much. That’s lovely to hear So gland you enjoyed it. I wore the entire entire in one piece but it was huge! So much detail, so I portioned it up into three. I’ll write another tour in June with the roses! Your Hosta Table sounds absolutely perfect!! All mine are in black ceramics but I’m adding other plants in galvanised just to lighten the palette. So much fun!

Such a beautiful garden and a delight to have you describe in such loving detail. You are a true garden lover. Being from California I often wonder how fortunate gardeners are in England with their lovely herbaceous borders and ample rain to feed them. Substack and accounts like yours is the best substitute.

Thank you so much. That’s really kind and I am so happy you enjoyed it. We are lucky here. We moan about the rain and unpredictable nature of our maritime weather, but it’s really a Goldilocks climate. Enough warmth, sun, and rain, and not too severe winters. You’re most welcome to explore my garden! I’m aiming to write more seasonal strolls.
