I’m really looking forward to even more of your writing. I already know something I’d like to learn about! Good luck on this new aspect of your garden adventure.
I would love to learn more from you about garden photography. I re-read your excellent article from many months ago about improving flower photography skills .( Substack makes it so easy to skim through a listing of all you’ve written there.) Anyway, that article got me thinking that I would like to document my progress in my new-ish garden. I moved to a new home a couple of years ago and have photos I’ve taken saved to my computer . I started with pretty much bare ground and I’m still making lots of changes. I’m wondering if you are interested in helping readers with making a digital garden journal with photos to document a garden’s development ? How do you take meaningful photos that capture changes? How do you store them in a useful way? There’s a lot that could happen in a digital journal—places to store ideas, plant information. I realize this is a big project. But even if you wanted to deal with just the photography part, I think it could be useful to folks.
I wanted to add that your comment about thinking just your mom would be reading your posts gave me the giggles. That’s how I am with my son’s posts and writing—following his every word.

This is a wonderful idea and something I’ve been mulling over for a while. The before and after is a classic. A powerful ’hook’ too for the socials.
